Ted Dimond
I was born in New York City on Dec. 30, 1953. I grew up in Westchester County and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1971. I was anxious to go out west, to strike out on my own and to ski the Rocky Mountains. After I graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder I moved to my favorite ski town: Taos, New Mexico. I had intended to leave within a year to return to school, but now 27 years and four children later I remain here, convinced that I always will.

I've worked many professions in Taos as is often required for survival in this small town. I've worked at the Taos Inn and the Appletree Restaurant, been a disc jockey at KTAO-FM, sold records at Que Pasa Music, and taught a history of Jazz course at UNM-Taos.

I love owning a business in the town that I've lived in for so long and where I plan on remaining the rest of my life. By helping folks finance their homes, both new and old, I am often able to make possible things that seemed to my clients impossible. The mortgage industry offers a great variety of programs and strategies for financing, and many times we can help a client qualify for a program that they were unaware of and that makes the home purchase affordable rather than out of reach.

I value my friendships and being part of this community. Because Dimond Mortgage will be in business for many years I am particularly careful to treat our clients in an honest and efficient manner. I know that I will cross paths with each of them over the years, in many different roles. I want to always feel satisfied that I've provided the best possible financing and counsel for my neighbors.
